Author: During the first days of May you will be able to see people dancing on the streets again. The festival of the Crosses in Cusco is a festival celebrated by the Catholics. During these days you will see the locals attending the messes or putting down sacrificial offerings around the crosses of town or the ones surrounding the city. These are also the places where you will find the locals celebrating in silence or with musicians, dances and some traditional drinks till late at night. Similar activities you will also find in the communities surrounding the city. It is a festival held in gratitude to pre-Hispanic gods for rich harvests.
